Coca-Cola and Emeco collaborated to solve an environmental problem: Up-cycling consumer waste into a sustainable, timeless, classic. The 111 Navy Collection is a story of innovation, turning waste plastic into something that lasts. Each chair is made of at least 111 recycled PET bottles and are an engineering success. The 111 Navy Chair™ is inspired by the classic Emeco Navy Chair, designed in 1944 for the U.S. Navy.

Emeco

Emeco was founded in 1944 in Hanover, Pennsylvania, to build a chair for the U.S. Navy that was light, strong and able to survive life at sea. The 1006 Navy Chair is still made there by hand, from recycled aluminium, in seventy-seven steps.
